The team flies to South America and contacts a boat with a crew of 3. The guide looks very young, wears a ball cap and goes by Po. He tells us that the journey into the jungle will take about 10 hours and he is very familiar with the area that we want to go. Po gives us some jungle tips, don’t put hands in water, snakes and alligators are bad, etc. The weather forecast is calling for rain but nothing severe for this area. Carter offered Po a drink from the silver flask but he declines, needs to keep his head right for the trip.
The team heads down river, it is humid and sticky and everyone is sweating balls. Cal talks with Po about the Amazon and that we all work for a company called Scooter INC. One of the boat hands asks Marcus is he is a police man, gesturing towards his tattoo of St. Michael. Marcus replied with formerly and not here. This seems to set the boat hand at ease.
Later that evening the sun is setting and the boat lights come on. The crew and team will take shifts sleeping and keeping watch. Carter, Gator and Tony take first watch while the rest of the team sleeps. 4 hours pass and they rotate. The rain has stopped but nothing else eventful happens.
Hours later the boat come ashore, the team loads up their gear and sets out to set up a base camp. Po thinks they are about 4-5 miles from the site. Once the camp is set up they set out in search of buried treasure. It has started raining again and it is coming down pretty good. Suddenly Mina sees a huge spider on Gators back. Mina screams SPIDER!!! Gator there is a SPIDER!!! Gator wails his bat around and ends up hitting himself with it. the spider jumps to Connie, Cal lunges to help, but the spider is fast and jumps to Tony and then Carter who, in a panic runs strait into a tree. The spider jumps again towards Mina who faints just as Marcus snatches the spider before it gets her. Connie “fuck this jungle”. Mina awakes screaming and is calmed when she learns that the spider is gone. Marcus however has learned that the spider hairs are poisonous and his hands have become very irritated.
The team continues on and after 3 miles the terrain turns to rock and they seem to be going upward. Po informs the team to be on alert for snakes and frog as they are very venomous/poisonous. A few make walking sticks to help with stability in the rock ground. The group comes to a crest that overlooks a valley. Possibly formed by a meteor or volcanic activity. They head down into the valley and Mina finds a stone like structure, digging away at the mud they hit another stone and another, it’s a staircase. They figure out the trajectory of the stair case and follow it down into the valley. Marcus slips and falls on his ass, the ground is so wet and muddy he takes off sliding down the hill. The group hears a crack and some rumbling followed what sounds like an explosion. Carefully the group follows the slide path that Marcus took. They come to a fork in the path and it looks like he hit what was once there and took it with him. Carter and Mina trying their best to not fall begin to slip. Carter is caught by Connie but Mina takes off sliding and is launched into the air and lands in a cavern filled with water. Carter looks at Connie and says “do me a favor, let me go” Connie looks questioningly then drops his ass. Carter and Mina have ended up in the same cavern as Marcus. The water is cold, very cold. The rest of the team head a faint splash and follows the sound to a hole in a wall. Tony throws a rock in, Carter-“what the fuck dude?”
The cavern water is cold as fuck and very dark, we can’t see much of anything. The rest of the team does not have enough rope to lower themselves down so after some major fuckery and slight incompetence they finally gather enough vine and tie it together. Tony tries to be lowered first, but the knot that Gator tied didn’t hold and tony came crashing in to the water below. More vine rope is made and Connie is lowered down but the rope snaps and she falls too.
Connie decides she will dive underwater and see if she can find anything. 5 min later Connie comes back up and says she found a dry spot but they all have to swim under water for about 150 feet. Connie has also found an air pocket about half way which will help those who have to breath to live, but it will still be a struggle. The rest of the team except for Gator and Po descend into the cavern and join the others. A vine rope is stretched under the water to help guide the group through the tunnel. Gator just can’t stand waiting up top and he jumps into the cavern. Po calls down after him, are the hot girls alright? Mina dunks Gator before he can answer with a lewd comment.
Gator goes through the underwater tunnel first with no problem. Mina goes next but struggles a bit and needs extra air from Connie along the way. Carter does the same. Marcus gets to the air pocket just fine and makes it to the end with no help. Tony makes it through, and Cal makes it to the air pocket and then just barely makes it to the end. Once everyone is through they find a stairwell, there are columns and broken wall fragments under the water that the group can now see. They walk down a series of steps, they see big stones, looks to be pre Myian, no bones. There are picture on the walls and column in this room. It looks like the water source got clogged somewhere and that’s what caused the place to flood. Off in the distance they see a small light peeking though.
The group begins their search for fallen pillar that would look similar to what Connie saw in her vision. They seem to be making their way towards a temple and they have found a burial ground. The pictures around them reference a god but no reference of a skull. They begin to pull off the vines and moss that has grown up on the structures. People in the pictures look slightly different that any others. They are more finely drawn and are slightly bigger. There are 13 total figures that look this way.
The team finds a sealed tomb and an altar, they see a picture of the 13 spread way out different lines drawn above them, maybe representing the elements? It looks as if the 13 are spread out over the whole world. Another picture shows 2 people around a box, and another picture of the 13 with weird symbols over each, their hands are outstretched. Carter has taken pictures off all to analyze later. Next picture has 13 spheres, the next has the 13 with the spheres above their heads with no bodies, and the final picture has the 13 heads with spheres around them. Further down the hall way Marcus squeezes through an opening, moves some rocks and finds another room. The rest of the group follows in but Cal stays behind to keep watch. The room is very pretty but the columns are broken. They find a box, it is very ornate with gold and gems around it. it is locked and does not seem to have a seem for a lid. Connie touches the box, a light goes off and she is electrocuted, same for Tony. Carter sets Connie’s gem on the box and it flies across the room. Connie retrieves it. Carter spends a significant amount of time studying the box and them finds that some of the items on it need to be moved and once this is done they form the words: Brotherhood, Seerer, and Master of Fate.
Connie passes her stone to Carter and places her hands on the box. They stick to it, electricity flows over her hands and some more pieces start to move on the box. It unlocks. Connie opens the lid and see the quartz crystal skull laying on a soft bed not disturbed at all. Carter puts the skull in a bag and now it is time to GTFO.
Gator goes back to get PO and walk around the mountain to find the opening on the other side so the rest of the group can get out. It takes some time but eventually Po and Gator find the second opening. Everyone is pulled up, but when they tried to pull up the rope with the box, the rope snapped and the box fell to the water below. Luckily Carter has the skull in a bag on him. They head out to go back to the base camp but as they walk away Connie and Tony get headaches and start feeling dizzy. Their ears start ringing. They think it is because the box is left behind. Carter and Po hurry back to the boat to get rope and chains to retrieve the box. When they return the symptoms has gotten worse. The box is retrieved.
Connie touches the skull with no gem. Her eyes go white. Once she returns she tells the group that the skull is the sole of one of the 13. He wants his box, that is his resting place. He will help us find the other skulls but he doesn’t know right now where they are. He is a seer, the Master of Fate and the "Brotherhood" of the 13. The box stripped them of their powers and locked them away. The 13 put themselves in the boxes to save themselves.
